Today I put another 2.8 hours on the hobbs. Just need another hour and a half more or so and I'll be done with Phase I. I actually intended on getting it done today, but when I stopped for fuel I got swarmed with dudes asking all sorts of questions about the plane. This plane sure gets a lot of attention at the pumps. I'm always trying to spread the RV enthusiasm thing, so I took a fair amount of time and answered everybody's questions and encouraged them to build their own, etc. By the time we were done yapping the sun was setting.

Anyway, today I spent a bunch of time just flying nice and slow (you know, 130 knots is really slow in this plane), sipping about 5 gallons per hour. As I've mentioned before, I love the counterweighted crankshaft. It's smooth throughout the whole RPM range with no restrictions.

If you've noticed in this and other photos of the ACS2002, the fuel tank levels and the fuel computer do not agree. This is because ever since I replaced the analog box, I haven't recalibrated the fuel tank senders...gotta do that one of these days!
