Today I went down to Spruce and snagged some new silica dehydrator plugs. The ones I've got don't really let you remove and restore the desiccant pellets without some surgery. So I bought these "clip together" types so that I can refresh the pellets down the line if I want to. My old plugs weren't really pink at all, but with the wetter weather here I'd like to be conservative. Personally, these new plugs suck ass. They seem kinda clunky, but oh well. Some combination of the two designs would be ideal.

I started messing around with the breather tube. I positioned the 5/8" ID rubber hose on the breather fitting...

...routed it down the firewall, where it will be clamped with an Adel clamp (where my hand is, there's already a nutplate on the back side of the firewall for it)...

...and at the bottom, the tube (aluminum section down here eventually) will S-turn through the engine mount and aim at the exhaust to burn off whatever blows out.

I discovered that bending 5/8" 2024T3 tubing isn't quite as simple as the old "bend it over the knee" trick. I kinked it pretty good. I need to get a 5/8" tubing bender...
