I then spent half the day fiddling around with getting the fuel tank Z brackets drilled. Van's instructions suck. They actually don't guarantee that the tanks will even line up with zero gap with the leading edge. Whatever. But I followed their instructions as best I could, and I ended up doing a really poor job back-drilling the Z brackets. I'm not even going to post any pictures here. I ended up redoing this process the "right way" anyway a few days later...
