THE KIT ARRIVED!!! Bright and early, the UPS guy rang the bell, and there it all was.

It came in two boxes. One for the skins and stiffeners, and another for all the various ribs, fairings, counterweights, trim system, etc. The packages are relatively small!

Jen helped me take inventory. Everything shipped arrived intact. There are about two or three items that are back-ordered, but it's rudder and vertical stab stuff...so that's no big deal for now.

Bags and bags of rivets, etc. Doesn't look like much, but there are a zillion tiny fastener parts.

Spars and stiffeners...

All the skins...all the blue stuff you see is the plastic film used to preserve the Alclad finish while moving the parts around.

And he's off...I'm already cranking. Got both rear spars final drilled.

Deburred all the holes, and used the Avery vise grip dimpler to dimple the rear spars before mounting the spar stiffeners. This was a long, arduous process. Actually, it wasn't that long -- maybe 20-30 minutes or so -- but it sure was painful. My pneumatic squeezer is in the mail somewhere...that would have come in incredibly handy for the flange dimpling stuff. The duct tape on the vise grips is there to save my skin on the threaded bolt. You really have to squeeze those suckers to make a nice, crisp dimple.
